Attack on Air Force base in Bangladesh, one person died.


Violence is at its peak in Bangladesh after the fall of Sheikh Hasina. At least one person was killed and several people were reported injured in an attack by 'rioters' on the Bangladesh Air Force base in Cox's Bazar district of Bangladesh on Monday. According to sources, the victim has been identified as 30-year-old local businessman Shihab Kabir, who was allegedly shot dead.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the public relations division of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, said in a press release that the clash was triggered by an unprecedented attack on the base in the Samiti Para area.

The deputy commissioner is keeping an eye

Medical sources said the victim was shot during the encounter and was declared dead at Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital. Meanwhile, Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin said an investigation would be conducted to find out the reasons behind the attack and said action would be taken against the culprits.


Security measures have been increased in the area as officers work to assess the situation and prevent further escalation. The reason behind the attack is not yet known.
