There will be no cheerleaders and fireworks in this match to be held in Hyderabad. Indian cricketers have expressed deep anger over this cowardly attack.
Pahalgam Terror Attack, IPL 2025 MI vs SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) players and umpires will wear black bands in the IPL 2025 match to pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The match will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Cheerleaders will also not be present in the match starting at 7 pm. Indian cricketers have also expressed their anger over this heinous and cowardly attack.
More than 25 people have died so far in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The BCCI has taken this decision in tribute to these dead. A BCCI source told ANI, "Players and umpires will wear black bands in today's match. A minute's silence will be observed before the start of the match. There will be no cheerleaders and no fireworks today."
The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police have started a search operation to search for the attackers in Pahalgam, Baisaran area of Anantnag. Delhi Police has also been instructed to maintain vigilance at tourist places and other important places. Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting with all security agencies after this terrorist attack. Amit Shah reached Srinagar on Tuesday evening and reviewed the security situation there. He said, "Whoever is involved in this cowardly attack will not be spared."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also held an emergency meeting with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and other senior officials at Delhi's Palam Airport immediately after returning from Saudi Arabia after receiving information about the attack. PM Modi cut short his two-day state visit to Saudi Arabia and immediately returned to India. He was to make this visit on the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Talking about this match, Mumbai Indians are currently at the sixth position in the points table, they have won four out of eight matches and lost four, due to which some stability is visible in the team. At the same time, Sunrisers Hyderabad is at the ninth position after winning only two out of seven matches. Despite this, SRH coach Helmot has expressed confidence in the chances of his team.
