The much-awaited 20th season of Bigg Boss has finally begun, and the drama inside the house started almost immediately. Hosted by Salman Khan, the new season features a mix of actors, singers, influencers and personalities from different fields, including boxing champion Mary Kom and singer Qazi Touqeer.

Mary Kom, who is making her reality television debut, wasted no time making her presence felt. On the very first day, she found herself in a disagreement with fellow contestant Qazi Touqeer—and the reason was something as simple as a single bed.

The Bigg Boss house has both single and double beds for contestants. During the premiere, Mary Kom and Qazi Touqeer both wanted the same single bed, leading to a tense exchange between the two.

Mary reportedly argued that she should get the single bed because of her age and her status as a sporting legend. She also mentioned that she had back pain and would be more comfortable sleeping alone.

Qazi, however, refused to give up the bed. He reportedly suggested that Mary choose another bed, while explaining his own concern about sharing a double bed with another contestant.

Arishfa Khan steps into the conversation

The disagreement soon caught the attention of other housemates. During the discussion, Mary Kom reportedly described herself as a legend while explaining why she believed she deserved the single bed.

Arishfa Khan responded that everyone inside the Bigg Boss house should be treated equally. The exchange quickly became one of the early talking points from the premiere episode.

Mary Kom calls Qazi her “enemy”

Eventually, Qazi Touqeer did not give up the single bed. Mary Kom then walked away from the situation.

As she left, she reportedly told Qazi, “I hate you, you’re my enemy.” The light-hearted but heated exchange immediately added another layer of drama to the opening episode.

Interestingly, Mary had previously said that she wanted to bring discipline and her competitive spirit into the Bigg Boss house. Her first-day clash suggests that viewers could see plenty of strong personalities and disagreements as the season progresses.

The new season premiered on September 6, 2026, with Salman Khan returning as host. The opening episode introduced contestants including Mary Kom, Qazi Touqeer, Amrapali Dubey, Mahhi Vij, Arishfa Khan, Aasif Khan, Kanika Mann and several others.

With alliances, arguments and rivalries already beginning, it remains to be seen whether Mary Kom and Qazi Touqeer's first-day disagreement turns into a lasting rivalry or simply becomes one of the season's memorable opening moments.
