Under the offer, eligible new users can access unlimited voice calls, daily mobile data and SMS benefits for 24 days by paying just ₹1.
Along with the mobile offer, BSNL has announced a new broadband plan, expanded its 4G network and introduced a revamped Selfcare mobile application.

-
1GB mobile data per day
-
Unlimited voice calling
-
100 SMS per day

24 days of validity
The promotional price is just ₹1. The company says the offer has been introduced to allow new customers to experience its mobile network at a nominal cost.
Users should check the applicable eligibility and availability conditions before taking a new connection.
BSNL Is Expanding Its 4G Network
The promotional offer comes as BSNL continues expanding its 4G footprint across the country.
The company has ordered more than 26,300 additional 4G BTS sites for deployment across India. These additional sites are intended to extend coverage to more towns, villages and remote locations.
BSNL says its indigenous 4G technology stack is also 5G-upgradable, which could allow the network to transition to next-generation services in the future.
New Fibre Plan at ₹1,111 Per Month
Broadband customers have also received a new option.
BSNL has announced its Fibre Freedom Plan at a launch price of ₹1,111 per month.
The plan offers internet speeds of up to 200 Mbps along with as much as 5,000GB of monthly data.
Customers also get access to more than 25 premium OTT platforms, combining broadband and entertainment services under one connection.
Before subscribing, customers should check local fibre availability as well as the complete terms of the plan.
New BSNL Selfcare App Launched
BSNL has also revamped its customer-service application for Android and iOS.
The new BSNL Selfcare New app brings several account-management services together in one place.
Customers can use the app for prepaid recharge, postpaid and landline bill payments, registering and tracking complaints, managing DND preferences and checking payment history.
It also provides Fibre booking requests, multiple-account management, voice search and AI chatbot assistance.
Around 500 Live TV Channels Available
Another notable addition is BSNL Free Entertainment TV.
BSNL says its mobile subscribers can access around 500 live television channels through the new Selfcare application. The entertainment service is powered by Tango TV and is being offered free to BSNL mobile customers.
On-demand entertainment content is also available through the service.
₹2,399 Plan Gets 47 Extra Days
Existing customers also have an Independence Day benefit to check.
BSNL is providing 47 additional days of validity with its ₹2,399 annual prepaid plan for a limited period.
The standard 365-day validity is therefore extended to 412 days under the promotional offer.
The existing benefits of the ₹2,399 plan will continue along with the additional validity.
Should You Consider the ₹1 BSNL Offer?
For someone considering a new BSNL connection, the Freedom 2.0 offer provides a low-cost way to test network coverage and performance in their area.
The combination of 1GB daily data, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day for 24 days at ₹1 makes the promotional offer particularly attractive on paper.
However, mobile-network experience can vary significantly by location. Users should check BSNL's coverage in the places where they regularly use their phones before deciding whether to continue with the service after the promotional period.
With additional 4G sites being deployed, a new Selfcare app, broadband offers and extended prepaid validity, BSNL is using its Independence Day announcements to make a renewed push for mobile and broadband customers.
