Dheeraj Kansal, a chartered accountant working in Gurugram, committed suicide by inhaling helium gas in a hotel in Bengali Market. Police have found a suicide note in the room in which he has not blamed anyone for his death. Dheeraj was staying in the hotel from 20 to 28 July. Police have found out that he had booked helium gas online and had come to the hotel with a plan.

A chartered accountant working in a Gurugram company committed suicide by filling his mouth with helium gas in a hotel in Bengali Market. The deceased has been identified as Dheeraj Kansal (25), a resident of Karnal, Haryana. This is the first case of suicide by helium gas in Delhi. 

Did not hold anyone responsible

The Barakhambha police station has sent the body for post-mortem. The police have found a suicide note under the deceased's hand and written on Facebook, in which he has not held anyone responsible for his death. The police is questioning the staff of the hotel where Dheeraj was staying.

The police have seized the electronic gadgets of the deceased for investigation. According to the police officer, on July 28, the police of Barakhambha police station received information that a guest staying in a hotel was not checking out and a foul smell was coming from the room. 

There was a mask on the face and plastic wrapped around it 

On this, the police, FSL, fire brigade team reached the spot and broke the door of the room and entered inside. Dheeraj's body was lying on his back on the bed. A pipe connected to a helium cylinder was in his mouth. There was a mask on his face and plastic wrapped over it, which was pasted with tape near the neck. A cylinder, mask and a meter attached device were recovered nearby. 

According to the police, Dheeraj had booked a room in a hotel at 18 School Lane in Bengali Market from July 20 to 28. A suicide note was also found in the room, in which he wrote that if his Facebook post gets deleted, then this note is to express his thoughts.

What was written in the suicide note?

Dheeraj has written in the suicide note that for me death is the most beautiful part of life. Please do not be sad on my death. Committing suicide is not bad, because I do not have any responsibility on me nor is anyone emotionally attached to me. 

Father died in 2003

Police investigation revealed that Dheeraj's father had died in 2003 and his mother had remarried. He had no siblings. His uncle had got him a job in Gurugram. According to the police, Dheeraj lived in a PG in Mahipalpur, Mehrauli. Earlier, he lived with his family in Mangolpuri.

At the same time, the police has come to know that Dheeraj had booked helium gas from an online site. He had come and stayed at the hotel with a plan.
