Complete PF account information is now available on WhatsApp! Follow this process to get PF balance, claim status, and KYC information
Here's some important news for EPFO members. The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is preparing to launch a WhatsApp-based service soon. This will allow members to access basic PF account information and services directly on their mobile phones. This could reduce the need to repeatedly log in to the EPFO website, contact the call center, or visit the office.

Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced in May that the EPFO plans to launch a WhatsApp-based chatbot service for members. Furthermore, under the system, members can initiate the service by sending a message saying "Hello" to the EPFO's official and verified WhatsApp number.
What features are available on WhatsApp?
Services offered may include checking your PF balance, viewing your most recent five transactions, checking your EPF claim status, obtaining assistance with KYC requests, and receiving information about interest earned on your EPF account. It's also possible to receive alerts for UAN-related queries, general complaints, and pending tasks.
This service is likely to work with the help of an AI-based chatbot and the EPFO's database. After sending a "Hello" message via WhatsApp, the customer can verify the mobile number linked to their UAN. They can then select the required option from the available services.
Beware of WhatsApp scams.
This service is not yet available to all members. Separate WhatsApp helplines are operating from some regional offices of the EPFO. Therefore, do not assume any unknown number is official.
The EPFO has warned members not to share their UAN password, Aadhaar, PAN, bank account details, or OTP with anyone over WhatsApp, calls, or social media. Meanwhile, until WhatsApp service is available, members can give a missed call to 9966044425 from their registered mobile number to check their PF balance. You can also get complete information by sending an SMS 'EPFOHO UAN' to 7738299899.
