However, it is a matter of relief that the number of discharged patients is more than the active cases and in many states there are no active cases at present. The latest report of the Health Ministry states that do not take the symptoms of Covid lightly and get tested immediately if needed.

The number of discharged patients is high

The number of active cases of corona across the country has reached 6133, while so far 6237 patients have recovered and have been discharged from the hospital. The Health Ministry has released these figures till 8 am on June 8, 2025.

Most cases are in Kerala and Delhi

The highest number of active coronavirus cases are in Kerala (1806), Gujarat (717), Delhi (665), Maharashtra (577) and Karnataka (444).

Death toll increased in Delhi and Maharashtra

So far, 7 people have died in Delhi, while 18 deaths have been recorded in Maharashtra. Apart from this, 12 people have died in Kerala, 7 in Karnataka and 5 in Tamil Nadu.

New cases in Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka too

In Gujarat, 102 new active cases have been found in the last 24 hours, while 7 new cases were registered in Karnataka and 7 new cases in Bihar. 73 new cases have been reported in Delhi in a day. News of relief in some states There are currently no active cases in Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Tripura. This is a matter of relief for the states.

Who lost their lives due to Covid?

There were two deaths in Karnataka: a 46-year-old man who had pre-existing heart and lung disease, and a 78-year-old man who had multiple comorbidities. Three people died in Kerala, of which one had undergone kidney transplant and the other had cancer. A 42-year-old man who was suffering from diabetes and kidney disease died in Tamil Nadu.

Health Ministry's appeal
