CSK vs RCB: CSK team has been forced to hide its face in its own home against RCB. After 17 years, RCB defeated CSK by a huge margin of 50 runs in Chepauk. Although, CSK had many chances to win the match, but CSK's fielding ruined it. Meanwhile, one player who has proved to be the biggest culprit of the defeat, not only missed the easiest catch but also looked weak in batting.
CSK won the toss and decided to bowl first. RCB had a great start, Phil Salt scored 32 runs while Kohli scored 31 runs to give the team a great start. But after the wickets of these two, the team seemed to be in trouble. Then captain Rajat Patidar came to bat and the CSK players forced him to play a long innings by dropping 3 catches. Dhoni and Jadeja also looked very unhappy with this.
Who dropped the catches?
Rajat Patidar's first catch was missed on the score of 17. In Ravindra Jadeja's over, Patidar took a high catch which was directly in Deepak Hooda's hands. But he dropped a simple catch. The next two catches were missed by Khalil Ahmed and Rahul Tripathi for which they had to make a good effort. Rajat Patidar played an important role in taking the team's score to 196 by playing an innings of 51 runs.
CSK's batting is a flop
In response to the target of 197 runs, CSK's batting looked futile. Opener Rachin Ravindra gave a great start by scoring 41 runs, but he did not get any support. Deepak Hooda also returned to the pavilion after scoring 4 runs in batting. After 17 years, RCB team has defeated Chennai in its home ground.
