A tragic incident unfolded in Delhi’s Nihal Vihar area, where a man named Vikas died by suicide after allegedly being abandoned by his wife due to financial struggles. Before taking the extreme step, Vikas went live on video and shared his emotional turmoil, accusing his wife of leaving him and their four-year-old son for another man named Shakib.

Debt Drove a Wedge Between Them
Vikas, who ran a small business, had been struggling with debt for some time. He lived with his wife and child until his financial troubles led his wife to leave him and return to her maternal home. After a brief stay with her mother and sister, she reportedly began a relationship with a man named Shakib and moved in with him, leaving Vikas and their child behind.

“I’ve Cleared My Debts, But I’m Done”
In the live video, Vikas expressed that although he had managed to repay his debts, the emotional toll of being abandoned and raising their child alone had left him broken. He claimed that repeated efforts to reconcile with his wife were ignored and that he could no longer bear to see his son suffer in her absence.

Heartbreaking Plea for His Child
In his final message, Vikas requested that his four-year-old son be raised by his parents and sister, and not handed over to his wife. He appeared deeply disturbed by his son’s constant crying for his mother and said he could no longer cope with the pain.

Police Investigation Underway
Authorities reached the spot shortly after the incident, took Vikas’s body into custody, and sent it for postmortem. The Delhi Police have initiated an investigation and are currently trying to locate the wife to understand the full circumstances that led to Vikas’s suicide.
