Diabetes: Many of us think that we will sleep whenever we get time, but the body's system does not work like this. If you want to maintain energy, focus, and health in your life, then starts taking sleep seriously. Not sleeping on time can increase your risk of diabetes.
In today's busy life, staying up late has become a common thing. Some are using mobile, some are watching series on OTT, while some are finishing office work. But do you know that this habit can be very harmful to our health?
Recently, research has come out that says that if you stay awake till late every night, then your risk of getting type 2 diabetes increases by about 50%. The surprising thing is that not only the amount of sleep, but also the time and regularity of sleep affect your health.
In this study, about 5,000 people were tracked for 7 years. People who did not have a proper sleep schedule or who often slept late showed symptoms of diabetes early. The reason for this was that their body clock, i.e., biological clock, was disturbed.
When we sleep and wake up at different times every day, our body gets confused. This disturbs the balance of hormones, insulin, and metabolism. Gradually, weight starts increasing, fat accumulates around the stomach and liver, and the body becomes less sensitive to insulin, which is the first step towards diabetes.
Now the question arises as to what should be done to avoid this, so there is no need to panic. Its solution can be found by adopting some simple habits.
Go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day, even if it's a weekend or a holiday.
Reduce screen time at night; leave mobile and TV aside in time.
Before going to bed, take a light walk, read a book, or listen to relaxing music, and most importantly, do not take sleep lightly. It is not just rest, it is the foundation of your health.
