PM Kisan Yojana 22nd Installment: Not everyone will receive the 22nd installment of PM Kisan. Farmers whose information is incorrect may face a 2,000 rupee installment delay.
PM Kisan Yojana 22nd Installment: More than half of the country's population still earns its living through farming and agriculture. Many of these farmers are unable to earn much from farming. To increase the income of such farmers, the central government is running several schemes, of which the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is the largest. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given 6,000 rupees annually in three installments.
Now, millions of farmers are waiting for the 22nd installment. But like the previous 21st installment, this time too, millions of farmers may face a setback. Previously, many farmers' funds were blocked. This time too, many farmers will not receive their next installment of 2,000 rupees.
Those who do not have land will not get the benefit
The most important rule of this scheme relates to land. Benefits are available only to farmers whose agricultural land is registered in their name. If someone cultivates another's land on a sharecropping or rent basis, but the land is not registered in their name, they will not be eligible for this scheme.
Land records are matched with state government data. Incomplete or incorrect information can result in a withheld installment. Farmer IDs have been made mandatory for new applicants in many states. Without valid land records and the necessary identification, receiving the 22nd installment may be difficult.
If e-KYC is not done then the installment may get stuck
According to government mandates, completing e-KYC is mandatory. Farmers who have not yet completed e-KYC may have their installments withheld. The process is online and easy. Farmers can complete OTP-based e-KYC through the official portal or mobile app.
Biometric verification may also be necessary in some cases. If there's an error in your Aadhaar or your mobile number isn't updated, it could also cause problems. Therefore, check all your details before the 22nd installment. Otherwise, even a small mistake could result in a loss of ₹2,000.
Aadhaar linked bank account is mandatory.
The installment is transferred directly to the bank account. Therefore, it is essential that the bank account is linked to Aadhaar. If the account is not linked to Aadhaar or the NPCI mapping is not updated, the payment may fail. Previous installments for many farmers were delayed for this reason. Furthermore, mismatches in name, date of birth, or bank details can also cause problems.
The date of the 22nd installment has not yet been officially announced. However, according to media reports, the funds are expected to be transferred before Holi. It is best for farmers to complete all the necessary formalities now.
