WhatsApp has become an important part of our daily conversations. But sometimes we don't want others to see when we were last online or if we're currently online. WhatsApp has privacy settings that allow you to easily hide last seen and online status.
How to hide last seen?
To hide last seen on WhatsApp, first open WhatsApp. Go to Settings and tap Privacy. Here, you'll see the Last Seen and Online options.
Now, under "Who can see my last seen," you can choose the option of your choice. If you want to completely hide your last seen, select "Nobody." After this, no one will be able to see your last seen.
If you only want to hide Last Seen from certain people, you can use the My Contacts Except… option. This allows you to prevent selected contacts from seeing Last Seen.
How to hide your online status?
Below "Last Seen," you'll find the "Who can see when I'm online" option. Selecting "Same as last seen" will display your online status according to your privacy settings.
For example, if you selected Nobody for Last Seen and Same as last seen in Online Status, other people will not be able to see that you are currently online on WhatsApp.
One important
thing to keep in mind after changing your WhatsApp privacy settings: If you hide your last seen and online status from others, you generally won't be able to see other people's last seen and online status.
