Father Made a Name as a Villain, Daughter Carves Her Path Behind the Camera

Sadashiv Amrapurkar was one of Bollywood’s iconic villains, known for his unforgettable roles that left a lasting impact on Hindi cinema. Alongside legends like Amjad Khan and Amrish Puri, Sadashiv redefined villainy but also showcased his versatility with comedic roles. Though he passed away in 2014, his legacy continues.

His daughter, Reema Amrapurkar, has chosen a different path in the film industry—not in front of the camera, but behind it. Reema has worked as an assistant director on notable Bollywood films such as ‘Baabul’ (2006) starring Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Hema Malini, and Rani Mukherjee, and ‘Dhamaal’ (2007) featuring Sanjay Dutt and others.

She also directed the film ‘Ara Ara Aaba Aata Teri Thamba’ and now hosts her own podcast, ‘MU. PO. Manoranjan’, sharing entertainment insights and engaging content. Her podcast and presence on Instagram have earned her a loyal following, with thousands tuning in regularly.

While Sadashiv Amrapurkar made a mark as a memorable villain, his daughter Reema is creating her own legacy behind the scenes in Bollywood.
