The shocking murder of notorious criminal Chandan Mishra inside Patna's Paras Hospital ICU continues to dominate headlines. Now, a chilling new CCTV image has gone viral, showing three of the five accused fleeing the scene on a bike—one of them brazenly waving a pistol in apparent celebration of the killing.

Captured shortly after the murder, the footage shows no signs of fear on the faces of the assailants. Instead, it portrays a disturbing display of arrogance and impunity. The bike-riding trio includes one miscreant in front wearing a helmet, while the two sitting behind him can be clearly seen—one in the middle brandishing a firearm openly as if glorifying the murder.

Police Identify All Five Accused
The CCTV footage from the hospital had already helped identify the five culprits involved in Chandan’s murder: Tausif Raza alias Badshah, Aqib Malik, Sonu, Kalu alias Mustakim, and Bhindi alias Balwant Singh. Among these, only Tausif has been apprehended so far. A resident of Phulwari Sharif, Tausif is suspected to be the mastermind behind the killing.

Was It a Contract Killing?
Police sources suggest Tausif may be a contract killer with a criminal record, including charges under the Arms Act. Investigators are currently probing whether he carried out the murder on someone’s orders or if it stemmed from a personal vendetta against Chandan Mishra.

Authorities believe the killing may be part of a broader gang rivalry and a fight for dominance in the Patna criminal underworld. According to Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma, all shooters involved in the case have been identified, and their backgrounds are being investigated. Raids are ongoing across districts to nab the remaining accused.
