Haryana Police Recruitment for 400 SPO Posts, You Can Apply From August 24

The Haryana Police has announced the start of the recruitment process for 400 Special Police Officer (SPO) positions . The recruitment will be conducted for the Haryana Police Telecommunications Wing under Section 21 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007. A press note regarding the recruitment was issued on Tuesday.

Eligible former personnel of the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces, as well as former constables of the disbanded HSISF and HP battalions, can apply for these posts.

District-wise application schedule

Candidates must report to their respective districts on the specified dates to submit their applications. Applications received after the specified schedule will not be accepted.

August 24: Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal and Kaithal
August 25: Sonipat, Panipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri
August 26: Gurugram, Faridabad, Nuh, Palwal, Rewari and Narnaul
August 27: Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Hansi, Jind and Dabwali

Candidates have to reach Police Lines Telecommunication Sector-25, Village Moganand, Panchkula by 9 AM on their scheduled date.

Eligibility Criteria

According to the notification, applicants must be between 25 and 50 years of age and have passed Class 12. They must also have at least five years of service experience in the Armed Forces or Central Armed Police Forces.

Applicants must not have been dismissed or removed from service for misconduct, indiscipline, medical unfitness, or other disciplinary reasons. At the time of discharge, candidates must be in Medical Category A. Their character certificate must bear an "Exemplary" or "Outstanding" rating.

Candidates with experience handling telecommunications and related equipment will be given preference. Those who have served in the Signal Corps may be given special preference.

Selection Process and Salary

The selection process will include document verification, a medical examination, and character and antecedent verification. There will be no written examination or physical test for these positions.

Selected candidates will undergo a 15-day capsule training course. Appointed SPOs will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹20,000, which will be deposited directly into their bank accounts. They will also receive a one-time uniform allowance of ₹3,000. For official travel, a TA/DA of ₹150 per day will be provided.

Required documents

Applicants must bring a completed application form, all required original documents along with a set of attested photocopies, any required affidavits, and four recent passport-size color photographs. No application fee will be charged.

The appointment will initially be for one year.

Selected SPOs will initially be appointed for one year. Their tenure may be extended until a regular appointment is made. However, an SPO cannot be posted to their home police station. Depending on availability, they may be given priority for posting to their home district.
