Has Trump's arrogance surpassed PM Modi's power? When his people faced trouble, he remembered the poor Indians... for the first time he said something big

Donald Trump: US President Donald Trump has announced that American companies can now hire Indian graduates from American universities under a new 'Gold Card' citizenship scheme.

US President Donald Trump has announced that US companies can now hire Indian graduates from US universities under the new 'Gold Card' citizenship scheme. Donald Trump stressed that the current system forced top Indian talent to leave the US, causing a major loss to the economy there. For your information, let us tell you that Donald Trump on Wednesday announced the 'Gold Card', a new path to US citizenship. Under this, wealthy foreign investors who invest $ 5 million (about Rs 37 crore) will get a path to US citizenship. Trump said that this scheme will prove to be a big opportunity for Indian students.

What did Trump say?

Criticising the current immigration system, Trump said, "Students from countries like India, China, and Japan study at top institutions like Harvard, and Wharton School of Finance. They get job offers, but they are immediately withdrawn because it is not clear whether they will be able to stay in the country or not." Talking about the consequences of this policy, Trump admitted that many talented graduates who were forced to leave America became successful entrepreneurs in their countries.

He said, "They go back to India or their country, open a company and become billionaires. They employ thousands of people. This is a big economic loss for America." The Gold Card scheme is being described as a premium version of the existing Green Card. It provides long-term residence and a path to citizenship. Trump said that this scheme is also a way to raise revenue for the US economy. He said, "If we sell 1 million gold cards, it will be 5 trillion dollars (about Rs 370 lakh crore)."

Trump gave this suggestion

He suggested that the money could be used to pay off America's debt. The scheme will replace the current EB-5 visa programme, which requires investors to spend $1 million (roughly Rs. 7.5 crores) and invest in a business employing at least 10 people. Trump believes the gold card will prove to be a game-changer. "They will be rich and successful, spend a lot of money, pay taxes and employ a lot of people. We think it will be very successful," he said.
