It is a question of my and my family's honour." Manoj Kumar also said that when the film was released, Yash Chopra himself had promised him that the scene would be removed, but it did not happen. He called it 'character assassination' and said that Shah Rukh and the filmmakers have "stabbed him in the back."

Shahrukh apologized again

When the matter came into the limelight once again, Shah Rukh Khan apologised to Manoj Kumar again. After this, the matter was completely resolved and no legal action was required.
