Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch an updated 125cc motorcycle around August 19-20, 2025, likely an upgraded version of the popular Hero Glamour. What makes this launch special is the inclusion of cruise control—a feature rarely seen in commuter bikes and generally reserved for higher-powered motorcycles. This addition marks a significant innovation by Hero in the budget commuter segment.
Spy shots of the test model revealed a toggle switch for cruise control situated below the ignition button, allowing riders to set and maintain a steady speed without needing to constantly twist the throttle. The new left switchgear also includes navigation buttons for an advanced LCD instrument panel similar to those on Hero’s Karizma XMR 210 and Xtreme 250R models.
Currently, the Hero Glamour is priced around Rs 95,000 ex-showroom and comes with a 124.7cc air-cooled engine producing 10.3 bhp and 10.4 Nm torque mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Known for excellent mileage of up to 65 kmpl, the updated model is expected to retain these specs, with cruise control likely debuting in the top-spec Xtec variant.
Adding cruise control not only enhances highway comfort by reducing rider fatigue but also positions this bike uniquely in its price segment. It will be interesting to see how Hero prices this new model and how the market responds to this feature-packed commuter motorcycle under Rs 1 lakh.
