Hero’s VIDA VX2 Electric Scooter Launched with Dual Batteries, Range Up to 142 km, Competes with Ola and Ather

Hero’s EV brand, Vida, has introduced its latest electric scooter, the VIDA VX2, which comes equipped with two removable batteries, offering flexibility and extended riding range. The standout feature of this scooter is that it can run on a single battery while the second one is kept for charging, making it highly convenient for daily use. Both batteries can be removed and charged through any standard household power socket.

The scooter is available in two variants—VX2 Go and VX2 Plus. The base Go model is priced at Rs 99,490 (ex-showroom), while the Plus variant costs Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned in the competitive Indian EV market, the VIDA VX2 takes on popular models like the Ola S1, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Ather Rizta.

Impressive Range and Performance
The VIDA VX2 Plus is powered by a 3.4kWh dual-battery pack, delivering a range of up to 142 km on a full charge. The Go version comes with a 2.2kWh portable battery, offering a range of 92 km. Charging from 0 to 80 percent takes around six hours with a home charger, while public fast charging can power it up in just 60 minutes.

Performance-wise, the scooter is equipped with a 6kW PMS motor. The Plus variant accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, while the Go model takes 4.2 seconds. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels, supported by telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock suspension.

Features and Design
The VIDA VX2 is offered in seven color options. The Go variant provides 33.2 litres of under-seat storage, whereas the Plus variant offers 27.2 litres. Notably, it is the only scooter in its segment to feature cloud connectivity with remote immobilisation. Additional features include LED lighting, turn-by-turn navigation, live ride data, and a 4.3-inch TFT display.

With its dual-battery setup, smart features, and strong performance, the VIDA VX2 aims to be a practical and competitive alternative in the electric scooter market, giving tough competition to Ola and other established players.
