IND-W vs NL-W: India made history by scoring 209 runs against the Netherlands in the Women's T20 World Cup 2026. Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana provided a solid start with a century partnership.

In the 10th match of the Women's T20 World Cup, the Indian team set a target of 210 runs for the Netherlands to win. Batting first, Team India scored 209 runs. Electing to bat after losing the toss, openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma provided a stellar start for the Indian team, sharing a century partnership for the first wicket. Richa Ghosh and Deepti Sharma then played short but crucial innings in the end to take India past 200.

The Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl first. Indian openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana provided a solid start, scoring 59 runs without losing a wicket in the powerplay. Shafali reached her half-century in the 11th over.

India reached 100 runs in the 11th over, and in the next over, India's first wicket fell in the form of Shafali Verma. Heather Caesars struck, and Shafali tried to hit a delivery from her but was caught on the boundary. She and Mandhana added 115 runs for the first wicket.

Smriti Mandhana's second consecutive fifty

Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues added 47 runs for the second wicket. Mandhana reached her half-century, her second consecutive in the T20 World Cup 2026. She scored 74 runs off 47 balls, hitting one six and 11 fours. She was caught off the last ball of the 16th over, falling to Caroline Lang.

Jemimah Rodriguez's innings ended the very next ball, caught by Marthe van der Byrne. Jemimah scored 19 runs off 13 balls.

Caroline Lang also dismissed Yastika Bhatia with the first ball of the 18th over. Bhatia tried to play this delivery, but was completely beaten by the slower delivery and was stumped. Yastika scored 3 runs off 4 balls.

This is the first time in the Women's T20 World Cup that India has scored more than 200 runs. This is also the second-highest total of this World Cup.
