Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan, currently participating in the World Championship of Legends, has suffered a serious injury during practice in England, raising concerns among his fans and teammates.

In a video shared on his official Instagram handle, Irfan revealed that while batting in the nets, a ball struck him hard on the ribs, causing intense pain. The injury has led to difficulty in breathing, and Pathan mentioned that he would be undergoing a medical scan soon to assess whether any bones have been fractured.

"Muscle injury is fine, but not a bone fracture"

Pathan expressed hope that the injury is limited to the muscles and has not affected the bones. The injury occurred three days ago, yet the pain persists. He jokingly remarked in the video, "Retirement ke baad bhi dard ne mera peecha nahi chhoda,” highlighting how injuries continue to trouble him even after stepping away from international cricket.

Despite Injury, Pathan Still Training

Despite the discomfort, Irfan was seen continuing his practice, showcasing his passion for the sport. Known for his resilience, the 39-year-old all-rounder has faced multiple injuries throughout his professional career but continues to entertain fans through legends tournaments.
