Spray white vinegar
Mix equal amounts of water in vinegar and spray it on the affected area and leave it for 30–60 minutes. Then scrub with a brush and clean with water. This removes the moss completely.
Apply baking soda paste
Make a paste of baking soda by adding some water and apply it on the mossy area, clean it with a brush after 15–20 minutes. Moss gets removed with just a light scratch.
Lemon and salt scrub
Wherever there is algae in your house, sprinkle salt there and add lemon juice on it. Also, scrub with a brush after 10-15 minutes. Both algae and bad odour will go away.
Boil the water and pour it in
Carefully pour the boiling water on the mossy part, then clean it with an iron brush. This is a natural process and eradicates the moss from its roots.
Use a pressure washer
If the moss area is large or difficult to scrub off, use a low-pressure pressure washer, but be careful not to damage the paint when using it.
Bleach water solution
Mix 1 part bleach + 4 parts water and apply it on the mossy parts. Rub after 10–15 minutes and wash with water. But keep a distance from gardens or plants. In such a case, your plants may get damaged.
Keep drainage and dry
Do not allow water to collect on any surfaces. Improve the slope of the roof, keep drains clean and allow air and sunlight to reach the surfaces. This will prevent moss from forming in the area.
The problem of moss can be more than average during the rainy season, but it is easy to prevent. By adopting all these measures, you can clean the moss from your house.
