JD Vance and Family Experience Royal Rajasthani Hospitality at Amber Fort

Jaipur, Rajasthan: US Vice President JD Vance, who is on a four-day official visit to India with his family, was given a grand royal welcome at the iconic Amber Fort in Jaipur. The cultural vibrancy and regal heritage of Rajasthan left the American dignitaries impressed and delighted.

Accompanied by his wife Usha Vance and their two children, JD Vance arrived in Jaipur on Tuesday morning. Upon reaching Amber Fort, the family was greeted with traditional Rajasthani hospitality – including a red carpet reception and a ceremonial salute by two decorated elephants, Pushpa and Chanda, at the Surajpol entrance.

Open Jeep Tour Through Royal Architecture

The Vance family took an open-jeep ride through the magnificent fort complex. JD Vance showed keen interest in the fort’s intricate carvings, architectural brilliance, and historical significance. His children were seen joyfully running around the premises, making the experience more lively and memorable.

Immersed in Rajasthani Culture

The Vice President and his family were also treated to a live performance of traditional Rajasthani folk dance and music in the main courtyard. Dancers in colorful attire showcased regional art forms that left the guests thoroughly mesmerized. JD Vance applauded the cultural richness of Rajasthan and called it a "priceless treasure of India."

Discovering the Fort's Rich History

During the visit, JD Vance was briefed on the history of Amber Fort, which dates back to the 16th century. He admired the intricate design of the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), the Diwan-e-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), and the Mughal-Rajput fusion in architecture. He remarked that the fort is not just India's pride but a heritage that the world should cherish.

Fort Closed to Public During Visit

Due to security protocols, the Amber Fort was temporarily closed to general tourists during the Vice President’s visit. Security forces were deployed in and around the fort to ensure the safety of the dignitaries.
