The deal was done through Telegram
Police said the racket used digital platforms to find donors. A man named Dr. Afzal, associated with a hospital in Meerut, posted the demand on a Telegram group. Ayush, a young man from Bihar studying in Dehradun, agreed to donate his kidney after being promised ₹6 lakh (600,000 rupees). However, he was only paid ₹3.5 lakh (350,000 rupees). This monetary dispute led the police to the entire racket.

Role of hospitals and accused
During the investigation, links to Meerut's Alpha Hospital emerged. Police said several employees may be involved. In Kanpur, police arrested Dr. Surjeet Singh of Ahuja Hospital, his wife Preeti Ahuja, and others. Preeti Ahuja was also the vice president of the Kanpur IMA. An ambulance driver named Shivam was also arrested. According to police, he pretended to be a doctor to deceive people. Two OT technicians from Ghaziabad, Kuldeep and Rajesh, were also arrested.
Shocking revelation of fake doctor
Shocking information has emerged about a man named Mudassir Ali. Police initially believed he was a doctor who performed the surgery. However, when officers went to his home, his wife revealed that he was not a doctor but an OT technician. This raises serious questions about how such surgeries were performed.

Viral video sparks controversy
A video of Dr. Afzal has also surfaced online. In the clip, he is seen lying on a bed covered in bundles of currency notes and filming. Another person is also seen in the video. This clip has sparked considerable discussion and anger.
