Jackfruit vegetable : There is hardly anyone who would not like to eat jackfruit vegetable. Especially now that the summer season has started, jackfruit vegetable tastes even more delicious. If it is served with rice or hot roti-paratha, then eating it makes the day.
People feel that making jackfruit vegetable is quite difficult, that is why we are going to tell you an easy method of making it here, so that you can make it and make yourself as well as your family happy. Everyone will keep licking their fingers after eating it.
Ingredients for making Jackfruit Vegetable
- Jackfruit – 500 grams
- Onion- 2
- Tomatoes – 2 (you can use puree also)
- Garlic
- Ginger – grated
- Green chilly
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Salt
- Oil – 3-4 tbsp
- Green Coriander
Method
To make jackfruit vegetable you will have to work a little hard, but when you eat it you will forget all your tiredness. To make it, first peel the jackfruit and cut it into small pieces. Nowadays, cut jackfruit is also available in the market, so you can buy it too.
After cutting the jackfruit into pieces, boil it in salted water. Let it boil in the water for about 5 to 7 minutes. If you do not want to boil it, then put some oil in a pan, add jackfruit in it and fry it till it turns golden. After the jackfruit is ready, keep it aside.
After this, heat mustard oil in a heavy bottom pan. After the oil is hot, add garlic, ginger and green chillies and fry them. When it is fried, add onion to it and let it also turn golden.
Now add tomatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, red chili powder and fry well. When it starts releasing oil, add boiled or fried jackfruit to it. Meanwhile, add salt and garam masala and mix well.
Now you have to cover it and cook it for at least 15 minutes. When it is cooked properly, add chopped coriander to it and mix it. Now turn off the gas and serve it with rice or paratha.
