LPG Cylinder Booking Rules: Gas cylinder booking rules have changed again; now the second cylinder can be booked after this many days
The central government has provided significant relief to domestic LPG consumers in rural areas. Residents will no longer have to wait 45 days to book a second gas cylinder. The government has reduced the LPG refill booking period in rural areas to 25 days. With this, booking rules are now consistent for both urban and rural areas. Following improved supply conditions and reduced backlogs, the Petroleum Ministry has directed oil companies to immediately implement the new rules.

on social media. Union Minister Suresh Gopi announced this decision on social media. The ongoing tensions in the Gulf countries had significantly impacted LPG supplies. He explained that to address the limited supply and gas shortages at that time, the booking period was set at 25 days in cities and 45 days in rural areas.
Supply improves, ban lifted
Now, the LPG supply situation in the country has returned to normal and improved. The old cylinder backlog has also largely been eliminated. Keeping this in mind, the government has amended the rules applicable to rural areas. Now, whether in a city or a rural area, a second refill can be booked only 25 days after receiving the first cylinder.
The new rules will come into effect immediately.
The Union Minister also shared the official letter sent by the Petroleum Ministry to state-owned oil marketing companies. The Ministry has directed all oil companies to implement this decision immediately so that the common man can benefit immediately. This government decision will provide relief, especially to rural areas and large families.
