Many people only stick to fruits or water during fasting, due to which they start feeling weak. In such a situation, halwa can be a great option, which is also wonderful in taste and also gives strength to the body. The special thing is that you can make it at home with very few things and in a very easy way. Here we are telling you the recipe of 3 special types of halwa eaten during fasting, which are made quickly and also keep the stomach full for a long time.
1. Lauki ka Halwa – A combination of both taste and health,
lauki is considered very beneficial during fasting. It is cooling and keeps the stomach light. To make lauki ka halwa, first peel the lauki and grate it. Now heat 1-2 teaspoons of ghee in a thick bottom pan and add lauki to it. Cover the lauki and cook on low flame. When it melts well, add half a cup of mawa or full cream milk to it. Now add sugar and cardamom powder to it. Cook on low flame while stirring till the halwa thickens. Finally, serve hot by adding chopped cashews, almonds and raisins on top.
2. Apple Halwa – Sweet and Aromatic
If you want to eat something light, sweet and quick, then apple halwa is a great option. For this, take two medium-sized apples, peel and grate them. Now put some ghee in a pan and add grated apple to it. Keep cooking on low flame till the apple becomes soft. Then add sugar according to taste and stir well. When the mixture becomes a little thick, add cardamom powder and your favorite nuts to it. Tasty apple halwa will be ready in a few minutes.
3. Aloo ka Halwa - Energy-giving sweet dish
If you want to eat something different during fasting, then definitely try sweet Aloo ka Halwa. For this, boil 2-3 potatoes and when cool, peel and mash them well. Now heat 1-2 teaspoons of ghee in a pan and add mashed potatoes to it. Lightly fry the potatoes on low flame. When the aroma starts coming, add sugar and cardamom powder to it as per taste. Now keep stirring it continuously until the mixture becomes thick and golden. Add chironji, raisins and some grated coconut on top. This halwa is not only tasty but also filling.
Note: You can also add jaggery or honey instead of sugar in these halwas if you want a healthy option. You can also add more or less dry fruits as per your choice.
