Make This Delicious No-Cook Sweet on Diwali in Just 10 Minutes

If you’re looking to prepare something festive yet effortless this Diwali, try this quick no-cook mithai recipe — ready in only 10 minutes! Perfect for busy households, this sweet is soft, creamy, and rich in flavor, without needing a stove.

Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups milk powder

  • ½ cup desiccated coconut powder

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • ¼ cup milk

  • 2 tbsp desi ghee

  • Finely chopped dry fruits (almonds, cashews, pistachios)

  • Silver foil (chandi ka warq) for garnish

Preparation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Base: In a large bowl, combine milk powder, coconut powder, and powdered sugar. Slowly pour in milk and knead gently until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.

  2. Add Dry Fruits: Divide the dough into two portions. Mix chopped dry fruits into one half and roll it into a cylinder shape.

  3. Wrap and Roll: Using butter paper greased with ghee, roll out the second portion into a flat sheet. Place the dry fruit roll in the center, wrap it around completely, and seal the edges neatly.

  4. Set and Decorate: Refrigerate the roll for 15–20 minutes to firm it up. Once set, apply silver foil for a festive touch.

  5. Cut and Serve: Slice the roll into half-moon pieces and serve this rich, aromatic delight — perfect for family gatherings or gifting.
