Muslim youth-Hindu girl marriage case: Panchayat of 3 villages gave a big verdict, media-police were not allowed to enter

Charkhi Dadri (Punit Sheoran): In the village Mahrana of Charkhi Dadri district, there is still anger among the villagers regarding the marriage of a Muslim youth and a Hindu girl. A panchayat was organized jointly by the villagers of three villages, Khedi Sanwal, Mahrana and Patuwas, in the village of Patuwas on Sunday. Media, police and administrative officials were kept away from the Panchayat which lasted for about 4 hours. At the same time, it was decided that no social relationship will be maintained with Shahid's family in the three villages. In view of the matter, police forces were deployed around the village.

Let us tell you that on July 3, around 25-year-old Shahid, a resident of village Mahrana, and Preeti, a Hindu girl from the village, converted and got married. When the villagers were informed about this on July 6, they expressed their anger and the shops of the Muslim community were closed. Since then, the police have been continuously stationed outside Shahid's family in the village. However, in this case, an affidavit was also given on behalf of both the families about their separation. Despite this, decisions have been taken by the panchayats of three villages. 

Social exclusion of the young man's family

The Panchayat held in Village Mahrana was chaired by Kapur Singh and conducted by Dharmapal Mahrana, Coordinator of Athgama Khap. Athgama khap coordinator Dharmapal Mahrana and panchayat representative Mir Singh have confirmed the boycott. He said that Shahid who married the girl will not come to the village. No social relationship will be maintained with the boy Shahid's family in the three villages. Nikah or marriage relationship between boy and girl has been terminated. Told that the process of divorce is going on between both of them and an affidavit has also been given in this regard.
