"My Daughter Was Killed on My Birthday": Radhika Yadav’s Mother Breaks Silence on Shocking Murder

The brutal killing of young tennis player Radhika Yadav in Gurugram has shaken the nation. The horrifying detail that her own father pulled the trigger has left everyone stunned—and now, her mother has spoken out, revealing the emotional trauma of losing her daughter on her own birthday.

Shot While Cooking in the Kitchen

The incident took place in Gurugram’s Sector 57. Radhika was reportedly in the kitchen preparing food when her father, Deepak Yadav, allegedly fired three shots at her with a licensed .32 bore revolver, hitting her in the back. She died on the spot.

According to police, the father claimed he disapproved of Radhika's passion for tennis, and had tried to stop her many times. When she refused to give up the sport, he claimed to have acted "in anger."

Mother’s Heartbreaking Revelation

Radhika’s mother, Manju Yadav, who was also present in the house at the time, revealed a haunting detail:
“It was my birthday. I was unwell and resting. Radhika was cooking for me when my husband killed her.”

While visibly devastated, Manju has not given a formal written statement to the police. She has told them verbally that she was in her room due to illness and was unaware of the incident unfolding just meters away. “I still cannot believe he did this,” she reportedly said.

A Chilling Silence

According to reports, Manju Yadav has not explained her husband's actions beyond expressing shock. At the time of the murder, only Radhika, her parents, and the weapon were inside the house. Her brother Dheeraj, a property dealer, was away at work.

This tragedy has stirred a wave of outrage across the country, as people grapple with the horrifying idea that a father could take such a drastic step against his daughter over societal pressure and personal beliefs.

The case is currently under police investigation, and authorities are awaiting a formal statement from the mother while continuing to question the accused father.
