Mumbai, April 23, 2025 – A concerning incident of inappropriate behavior in a public transport vehicle has come to light from Mumbai, raising questions about discipline and oversight in city buses. The incident occurred on Sunday night in an AC bus operated by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT), where a couple was reportedly involved in an indecent act.

According to reports, the bus was traveling from Panvel to Kalyan and had very few passengers on board. The couple was seated near the rear window of the bus. A person in a nearby vehicle noticed the incident and recorded a video, which later went viral on social media.

Upon receiving the information, transport authorities took swift action. A senior NMMT official confirmed that departmental proceedings have been initiated against the bus conductor, as he failed to intervene during the incident. It was noted that the conductor was seated at the front of the bus and was reportedly unaware of what was happening in the back.

Authorities stated that such behavior in public spaces is unacceptable and violates public decency. The transport department emphasized the need for vigilance and encouraged passengers to report any inappropriate activity immediately so that timely action can be taken.
