No Anemia, No Winter Cold: Baba Ramdev’s Low-Cost Remedies to Keep the Body Warm and Healthy

During winter, many people complain of constant cold, shivering hands and feet, low energy, and frequent digestive issues. While warm clothes and heaters provide temporary relief, yoga guru and Patanjali founder Baba Ramdev believes that the real solution lies within the body. According to him, poor digestion and low hemoglobin levels are two major reasons why people feel excessively cold during winter.

Baba Ramdev explains that when the digestive system is weak, the body fails to absorb essential nutrients properly. This not only leads to gas, acidity, and indigestion but also increases the risk of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes. Poor digestion can affect insulin sensitivity, which in turn raises the chances of blood sugar imbalance. Over time, these issues weaken the body and reduce its ability to generate natural warmth.

Anemia and Weak Digestion: A Growing Lifestyle Problem

Low hemoglobin, also known as anemia, has become a common issue due to unhealthy eating habits and sedentary lifestyles. Baba Ramdev states that people suffering from anemia often feel tired, weak, and cold even when fully covered during winter. Cold hands, cold feet, dizziness, and lack of stamina are common signs of low blood levels.

According to him, indigenous and Ayurvedic remedies can help improve hemoglobin levels naturally without expensive medicines. By adopting the right foods, juices, and yoga practices, one can strengthen digestion, boost blood formation, and keep the body warm throughout winter.

Natural Ways to Increase Hemoglobin

Baba Ramdev recommends consuming fresh vegetable and fruit juices to overcome hemoglobin deficiency. He suggests a combination of carrot, tomato, beetroot, and amla juice, especially during winter.

Carrots are rich in iron and vitamin A, which supports blood production and eye health. Beetroot is known to improve blood circulation and energy levels, helping the body fight fatigue and cold. Tomatoes support overall nutrition, while amla, a powerhouse of vitamin C, enhances iron absorption in the body.

Amla also strengthens immunity, protects against colds and flu, detoxifies the liver, reduces hair fall, and improves digestion. Drinking these juices regularly during winter can naturally improve blood quality and body warmth.

Ginger Juice for Warmth and Digestion

Ginger is another powerful winter ingredient suggested by Baba Ramdev. Drinking ginger juice helps warm the body from within by boosting metabolism. It improves digestion, reduces inflammation, and provides relief from joint pain, which is common during cold weather. Ginger also supports gut health and prevents bloating and acidity.

Eat Spinach, Bathua, and Fenugreek Greens

To meet daily iron requirements, Baba Ramdev advises including green leafy vegetables in the diet. Spinach, bathua, and fenugreek (methi) greens are excellent sources of iron and essential minerals. These greens not only improve hemoglobin levels but also generate warmth in the body.

Adding lemon, ginger, and turmeric to saag further enhances nutrient absorption and digestion. These ingredients activate metabolism and help the body retain heat. Baba Ramdev mentions that those who do not prefer saag can consume raita instead, depending on digestion capacity.

Yoga to Strengthen Digestion and Blood Formation

Apart from diet, Baba Ramdev strongly emphasizes yoga for digestive and metabolic health. He recommends practicing Mandukasana and Bhujangasana daily to stimulate digestion and improve liver function.

A healthy liver and kidneys play a crucial role in hemoglobin production. The kidneys produce erythropoietin, a hormone that stimulates red blood cell formation. Baba Ramdev also suggests practicing Hanuman Danda, as it strengthens the entire body and improves circulation.
