Oppo is preparing to launch its new K14 Plus 5G smartphone in India, and the company has already revealed several key specifications ahead of the launch.

The Oppo K14 Plus 5G will officially launch in India on September 29 at 12 noon and will be sold through Flipkart.

The smartphone is expected to stand out with its massive battery, high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, powerful processor and a rugged design.

1.5K AMOLED Display With 144Hz Refresh Rate

The Oppo K14 Plus 5G will feature a 1.5K-resolution AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

The higher refresh rate should make animations and scrolling smoother and can also benefit gaming.

According to Oppo, the display can reach a peak brightness of 3,600 nits, which should improve visibility in bright outdoor conditions.

MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max Chipset

The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max chipset.

Oppo claims that the device can achieve more than 1 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark.

The processor is expected to handle everyday applications, multitasking and gaming, although real-world performance will depend on factors such as software optimisation and thermal management.

Massive 8,000mAh Battery

One of the biggest highlights of the Oppo K14 Plus 5G is its 8,000mAh battery.

This is considerably larger than the batteries commonly found in smartphones in this segment and could give the phone strong endurance between charges.

Oppo is also equipping the phone with a 5,000 sq km VC cooling system to help manage heat during demanding usage.

The company is also promoting features such as 6-Year Smoothness Protection and a Damage-Proof 360 Armor Body, aimed at improving long-term durability.

50MP Camera With OIS

For photography, the Oppo K14 Plus 5G will feature a 50MP primary rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS).

The camera will also support 4K video recording, giving users the option to capture higher-resolution videos.

For selfies and video calls, the smartphone will feature a 16MP Sony IMX480 front camera.

IP69K Rating and AI Features

The phone will also receive an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance, adding another layer of protection against harsh conditions.
