PM Kisan 21st Installment: ₹2,000 Credited to 8.5 Lakh Farmers in Jammu & Kashmir

The Central Government has transferred the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to farmers in Jammu & Kashmir, marking another step in the ongoing support under this flagship scheme. A total of ₹170 crore has been credited to the accounts of 8.5 lakh farmers, providing timely relief amid the ongoing challenges posed by heavy rainfall and floods in several regions.


💰 PM Kisan 21st Installment: State-Wise Distribution

This latest disbursement follows payments made earlier to farmers in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab. With Jammu & Kashmir added, the scheme has now benefitted farmers across four states with ₹2,000 each:

  • Himachal Pradesh: 8,01,045 farmers received ₹160.21 crore

  • Punjab: 11,09,895 farmers received ₹221.98 crore

  • Uttarakhand: 7,89,128 farmers received ₹157.83 crore

  • Jammu & Kashmir: 8.5 lakh farmers received ₹170 crore

In total, 35.5 lakh farmers have now received the 21st installment.


🌾 PM Kisan Scheme Overview

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme provides financial support of ₹6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. The initiative aims to assist farmers with agricultural expenses and provide them with timely financial relief during natural calamities or market disruptions.

Earlier, in the 20th installment, about 9.7 crore farmers received their payments. On August 2, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had transferred a total of ₹20,500 crore from Varanasi, covering farmers across India.


📝 How to Check Your Name in the Beneficiary List

Farmers can verify whether they have received their installment by visiting the PM Kisan Portal:

  1. Go to the official portal: pmkisan.gov.in

  2. Click on Beneficiary List

  3. Select your State, District, Sub-District, and Village

  4. View the complete list of eligible farmers for your area

This allows farmers to confirm their payment status and check if their account has been credited with the latest installment.


⏳ When Will Other States Receive Payments?

Currently, about 35 lakh farmers have received the 21st installment, while the scheme covers nearly 10 crore farmers across India. Payments to farmers in the remaining states are expected before Diwali 2025, though the government has not made an official announcement yet.

Farmers are advised to complete their e-KYC if not already done, as it is mandatory to receive installments directly into their bank accounts.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan highlighted that this installment is being provided as an advance relief to farmers affected by natural disasters. The government emphasized its commitment to standing by farmers, particularly in border states like Jammu & Kashmir, ensuring that financial assistance reaches them quickly during challenging times.
