Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the central government provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually to eligible farmer families. This amount is disbursed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. Each installment of ₹2,000 is sent directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts.
Many farmers wonder if the land is registered in the name of both husband and wife, and whether both receive the benefits of this scheme. Today, we're going to provide you with information on this matter. According to the scheme's rules, the definition of a farmer family includes the husband, wife, and minor children.
For this reason, if cultivable land is held in the names of different family members, the land is considered together for eligibility purposes. This means that simply holding land in the names of both husband and wife does not make them separate beneficiaries. Therefore, only one of the spouses should apply. They will not receive separate scheme benefits.
