PM Modi Distributes Over 51,000 Appointment Letters at Rozgar Mela, Youth Celebrate New Beginnings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through video conferencing, distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth during the 15th Rozgar Mela held across 47 locations nationwide. The primary aim of this initiative is to empower the youth and make them active contributors to India’s growth story.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Rozgar Mela reflects the central government’s commitment to prioritizing employment generation.

Departments Where Appointments Were Made

The newly appointed candidates have been inducted into various ministries and departments such as the Revenue Department, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Railways, and Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Rozgar Mela: Journey So Far

The Rozgar Mela was launched in October 2022. In its first edition, 75,000 appointment letters were distributed. Since then, over 1 million permanent government jobs have been offered. During the 14th edition held last December, PM Modi had highlighted the transparent and accountable recruitment process through these initiatives.

Stepping Towards Global Opportunities

PM Modi had earlier stated that India has signed migration and employment agreements with 21 countries, including Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Israel, Mauritius, the United Kingdom, Italy, and several Gulf nations, opening new doors for Indian talent abroad.

Youth Empowerment at the Forefront

The government's efforts are not just aimed at reducing unemployment but also at empowering the youth to actively participate in the nation’s development. By bridging the gap between job seekers and government employment opportunities, the Rozgar Mela is paving the way for a stronger, brighter future.
