Before the bilateral talks, PM Modi shared many important things during the India-Cyprus Business Roundtable held in Cyprus, emphasizing India's progress and global contribution. He said that the relations between India and Cyprus are historical and the relations between the two countries will be strengthened through trade and technical cooperation. He said, "Our relationship with Cyprus is very old. India has made unprecedented development in the last 11 years. First, we became the fifth largest economy and now we have rapidly become the fourth largest economy."

Referring to the digital revolution in India, PM Modi said that today 50% of the total digital payments in the world happen in India alone, which shows the technical capability of the country and its reach to the general public. He said, "India today has clear and stable policies, which are attracting investors. We are investing more than $100 billion every year. India's position has also strengthened in the field of innovation." On this occasion, he especially thanked the President of Cyprus and said, "I express my gratitude to the President, who himself came to receive me at the airport. It is an honor for me."
