The buzz around The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, is at its peak as the film gears up for a grand theatrical release on January 9. Adding to the excitement, a bold claim has emerged that the film could register a ₹100 crore global opening on its very first day.
A major relief for the makers is that the film will now enjoy a solo release, after Jana Nayagan, touted as Thalapathy Vijay’s last film, was postponed at the last moment. The absence of a big box-office clash has significantly boosted expectations for The Raja Saab.
Advance Booking Shows Strong Momentum
Advance bookings for The Raja Saab are moving at a brisk pace. According to early trends, the film has already collected around ₹3.38 crore from advance ticket sales in India, with 1,23,987 tickets sold across 3,492 shows.
Including block seats, total advance collections have reportedly touched ₹8.29 crore, spanning multiple formats such as Telugu, Hindi 2D, and Dolby Cinema. Overseas interest is also strong, with pre-sales in North America already crossing the $1 million mark.
Who Made the ₹100 Crore Opening Claim?
The big prediction has come directly from the film’s producer T. G. Vishwa Prasad. During recent promotional interactions, he expressed strong confidence in the film’s box-office prospects, stating that The Raja Saab is expected to collect over ₹100 crore worldwide on its opening day.
He also revealed that the final 40 minutes of the film will offer a “global cinematic experience,” raising curiosity among fans and trade analysts alike.
High Expectations From Cast and Director
Directed by Maruthi, the film features Nidhhi Agerwal, Sanjay Dutt, and Malavika Mohanan in key roles. While the trailer has received mixed reactions, Prabhas’s massive fan base and aggressive promotions have kept expectations sky-high.
With no major competition, strong advance bookings, and confident backing from the makers, all eyes are now on whether The Raja Saab can truly achieve the ₹100 crore opening-day milestone. The real picture will emerge once the first shows roll out and early box-office numbers come in.
