Raja Raghuvanshi Murder | Sonam did not like being intimate with her husband Raja Raghuvanshi on the wedding night, she told her lover through a message

Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi was allegedly murdered by his wife Sonam, who shockingly hatched the entire conspiracy with her lover, just five days after their marriage.

Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi was allegedly murdered by his wife Sonam, who shockingly hatched the entire conspiracy with her lover just five days after their marriage. Sources said that flying to Meghalaya on May 20 for honeymoon and visiting remote hill stations was part of a conspiracy hatched in connivance with Raj Kushwaha, with whom Sonam was having an extramarital affair.

Sonam Raghuvanshi, accused of killing her husband Raja Raghuvanshi on their honeymoon in Meghalaya, had conspired with her lover to kill him three days after the wedding, sources told India Today TV. According to India Today TV sources, in a chat with her lover Raj Kushwaha, Sonam told him that she did not like her husband being intimate with her. Sonam, who surrendered in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur on Monday after being on the run for several days after her husband's murder, told her lover that she had distanced herself from Raja even before the marriage. In the chat, she also told Raj about the plan to kill her husband three days after the wedding, sources said. They said the accused deliberately chose a far-off place to kill Raja.

Raja and Sonam got married on May 11. Everything seemed normal and happy in the family, but a sinister plan was already brewing behind the scenes. According to sources, by May 16, Sonam had conspired with her lover to eliminate Raja, so that he does not become a hindrance in her relationship with Raj. The newlywed couple reached Shillong on May 20, just nine days after tying the knot in Indore on May 11. They went missing on May 23, just hours after checking out of a homestay in Nongriat village near Sohra (Cherrapunji). Nearly ten days later, on June 2, the husband's body was found near the picturesque Weisadong Falls in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills district - about 20 km from where he was last seen. Meanwhile, the wife remained missing, leading to a massive search operation across several states. Meghalaya police said transport baron Raja Raghuvanshi (29) was murdered during his honeymoon in the state by his wife Sonam who had hired hired killers. Sonam (25) surrendered before the police in Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh while three accused were arrested in and around Indore after an overnight raid, officials said.

After Raja's body was discovered, the Shillong police said he may have been murdered, ruling out speculation that he met with an accident or fell victim to some other unfortunate incident. After surrendering to the Uttar Pradesh police, Sonam confessed that she had allegedly hired a contract killer to eliminate Raja. Four people, including Raj, were arrested for the alleged murder of her husband, with whom the woman was having an affair. Apart from Kushwaha, the other three men arrested for Raja's alleged murder were identified as Akash Rajput, Vikas alias Vicky and Anand. The post-mortem report on Monday confirmed multiple stab wounds on Raja's body, including two large wounds - one on the front of his head and the other on the back.

Earlier, Sonam's father Devi Singh Raghuvanshi demanded a CBI inquiry into the murder, saying his daughter was innocent. He said, "Kushwaha's name is being wrongly linked with my daughter Sonam. Meghalaya police is making false allegations against my daughter to save its skin. I will send a legal notice to Meghalaya police. I want the CBI to investigate the entire matter."
