Rinku Singh-Sanju Samson OUT, Gill is the new opener... this will be Team India's Playing XI against UAE!

India is going to start its campaign in Asia Cup 2025 against UAE on 10 September. What will be the final playing eleven will be known only during the toss, but the indications that are being received at the moment point towards a big change.

There seems to be no place for big match winners like Rinku Singh and Sanju Samson in the first match of the Indian team in Asia Cup 2025. Let's take a look at the possible playing eleven of Team India...

This can be called injustice to Sanju Samson, but with the inclusion of vice-captain Shubman Gill in the playing eleven, it is almost certain that this star wicketkeeper batsman from Kerala will be left out.

Abhishek Sharma will be the second opening batsman. This will also keep the right-left combination of the team intact. Abhishek, the world's number one T20 batsman, also gives the team an additional bowling option.

Tilak Verma has cemented his place at number three in the last few years. Although his performance in IPL 2025 was not very good, he has scored two consecutive centuries against South Africa at this position.

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav will be the backbone of this team at number four. He is the best batsman of the team and will help the team a lot by acting as a bridge between the top and lower order.

The 2024 T20 World Cup has established Axar Patel as India's number five batsman. He has scored 535 runs and taken 71 wickets in 71 T20 Internationals.

Hardik Pandya will have a big responsibility to finish some matches in the 2025 Asia Cup and contribute as an additional fast bowler. This senior all-rounder has scored 1812 runs and taken 94 wickets in 114 T20 international matches.

Jitesh Sharma has played only nine T20 Internationals for India, but he will be the first choice as wicketkeeper if Samson is not included in the team in place of Gill. He will hope to continue his form of IPL 2025 as a finisher. 261 runs at a strike rate of 176.35.

Kuldeep Yadav is India's premier spinner and the X-factor for the 2025 Asia Cup. Having not played any international matches since the IPL, he will be eager to deliver some match-winning performances.

Arshdeep Singh is India's highest wicket-taker in T20I cricket till date. The left-arm pacer played a key role in India's 2024 T20 World Cup win with his ability to dominate the powerplay and death overs.

Jasprit Bumrah will lead the Indian attack in this tournament. He is the best bowler in the team when fit. India's race to win the title will largely depend on him.

It will not be easy for anyone to face Varun Chakraborty, who has been the most consistent performer in the IPL in the last few years, on the turning pitches of UAE.
