According to eyewitnesses, as Rohit Sharma was entering the hotel, the woman suddenly rushed toward him, grabbed his hand, and began shouting for help. The sudden proximity startled the Indian skipper before security personnel quickly intervened and escorted the woman away.

Woman Was Seeking Financial Help

Reports suggest that the woman was repeatedly shouting “Help, help” and claimed that her daughter was suffering from a serious medical condition. She reportedly told those present that her child required an injection costing around ₹9 crore and that she approached Rohit Sharma hoping for assistance. It is not yet known whether the cricketer was able to help her in any way following the incident.

A video of the episode has since gone viral on social media. Users also pointed out that a woman making similar claims had recently approached social media personality Elvish Yadav, seeking help for a sick child.
