Saif Ali Khan’s Interesting Revelation About ‘Omkara’
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Saif recalled a scene from the film where his character had to deliver an important moment while looking into a mirror.
Talking about the experience, Saif said that Vishal Bhardwaj asked him if he could perform the scene naked. The actor admitted that the idea was exciting but also made him uncomfortable at that time.
Saif revealed that he told the director he would do the scene only if Vishal Bhardwaj also appeared in the same way while filming it. The director immediately refused, turning the situation into a humorous moment on set.
Saif Says He Now Regrets Not Doing the Scene
Looking back years later, Saif feels that accepting the director’s suggestion might have made the scene even more impactful.
The actor explained that the scene was supposed to be shot from behind in silhouette, which could have created a powerful visual effect. He added that he would not hesitate to do such a scene today if it suited the story and character.
The Scene Was Changed at the Last Moment
Saif also revealed that the mirror scene underwent a major change during filming. Initially, the sequence included a long dialogue where his character spoke about revenge while standing in front of the mirror.
However, Vishal Bhardwaj later came up with a different idea and decided that Saif’s character would not speak any dialogue in the scene. The final version was shot without words, making it one of the film’s memorable moments.
