Samajwadi Party MP from Sambhal, Ziaur Rahman Barq, has been fined by the SDM court for failing to submit the corrected map of his house, which is under scrutiny for being built without proper approval. The court imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 after Barq did not present the revised construction plan by the deadline of July 8.

The case pertains to a house built by the MP near Deepa Sarai in Sambhal district. The construction allegedly violates the Uttar Pradesh Regulation of Building Operation Act, 1958, as it was done without the necessary permission or map approval.

This is not the first instance of non-compliance. Just two months ago, Barq was fined Rs 500 in connection with the same issue. Despite repeated hearings, the MP and his legal team have failed to provide any valid explanation or submit the corrected map as instructed. Each time, they have requested more time from the court.

According to SDM Vikas Chandra, the previously submitted map required specific corrections, which were to be resubmitted by July 8. The MP failed to do so, prompting the court to impose the penalty and deem the delay as objectionable. The court has now scheduled the next hearing for July 15.

Barq's legal team has once again requested an extension, stating that they will initiate the process to get the map approved, including paying any applicable late fees.
