Siddharth Anand Wants 'Saiyaara 2' After Watching the Film, Calls It Mohit Suri's Best Work Yet

The film Saiyaara is making waves across the country. From strong box office numbers to a viral buzz on social media, the film has captured the audience’s imagination. Now, renowned filmmaker Siddharth Anand, who directed the ₹1000+ crore blockbuster Pathaan, has heaped praise on Saiyaara and even made a public demand for a sequel.

Taking to social media platform X, Siddharth wrote a heartfelt post after watching the film. “A little late to the party,” he began, adding that he had already heard glowing reviews and went in with high expectations. “Loved the film. Just wow! Here’s a filmmaker at his finest. His craft is at its peak. His conviction is amazing. Mohit Suri, you took the audience in me on a wonderful journey. I wanted to hug you after coming out of the theatre.”

In another part of his post, Siddharth praised the film’s leads—Ahaan Pandey and Anit Padda—for their performances as Krish and Vaani. “I fell in love with your love,” he wrote. “No one moved an inch until the screen went black. I didn’t want the film to end.”

He also thanked Yash Raj Films and Aditya Chopra for bringing “tears and happiness back to cinema,” ending his message with a powerful note: “Bring Saiyaara 2.”

The audience’s love for Saiyaara has translated into impressive box office numbers. According to Sacnilk, the film has raked in ₹256.5 crore in India and ₹393.8 crore worldwide in just 11 days. The fresh pairing of Ahaan Pandey and Anit Padda has become a major highlight, drawing fans to theatres in huge numbers.
