In the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, the police have arrested his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi and four other accused. On Wednesday, they were produced in a court in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, from where the court sent them to eight days of police custody. Shillong Eastern Range DIG Davis NR Mark spoke exclusively to NDTV about this case. He told how the mangalsutra helped solve this honeymoon murder.

After Raja's murder, Sonam reached Guwahati railway station by taxi

On their return, Sonam came on a scooty with a contract killer. Sonam told Raja that they have to take photos ahead and as soon as Raja went ahead to a deserted area, he was murdered. After committing the crime, Sonam hired a taxi from Shillong and reached Guwahati railway station. The police is also searching for the taxi driver to take his statement.

Davis NR Mark said that Sonam had 4 mobile phones, out of which we have found only one, three phones are being searched. After the Raja murder case, Sonam has disposed of her two phones and Raja's phone. The last location of all four phones was near the murder site. Also, who booked Sonam's return ticket? Whose phone was she using in the train to talk to Raj Kushwaha? All this is also being investigated.
