The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced recruitment for a total of 2,536 posts for 12th-grade pass candidates under the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2026. The online application process for this recruitment is ongoing. Candidates interested in these positions should complete their applications before the deadline.

The online applications for the SSC CHSL 2026 recruitment have begun on September 7, 2026. The last
date for submitting the forms is October 7, 2026. Candidates are advised to fill the forms as early as possible to avoid technical issues on the website during the last few days.

Selected candidates will be given the following pay scale as per  their post:

Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 per month

Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade-A): ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 per month

Data Entry Operator (DEO): ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 per month

Eligibility Criteria  
Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed Class 12th (10+2) from any recognized board in India.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 27 years of age. Age will be calculated as on August 1, 2026.

Age Relaxation:

SC/ST: 5 years

OBC: 3 years

PwD (Divyang): 10 years

Women, SC, ST and Divyang Category: Free (No Fee)

Selection Process & Exam Pattern  
Candidates will be selected on the basis of two stage examination (Tier-1 and Tier-2).

Tier-1 Exam Pattern:

Subjects: English, General Intelligence (Reasoning), Quantitative Aptitude (Mathematics), and General Awareness (GK/GS).

Total Questions & Marks: 100 Questions (Total 200 Marks).

Time Duration: 1 hour.

Negative Marking: 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
