Supreme Court releases notification for Junior Court Assistant recruitment; apply this way

The Supreme Court of India, the country's highest court, has released an official notification for the recruitment of 250 Junior Court Assistant (JCA) positions. Interested and eligible candidates can complete the online application process by visiting the SCI Portal beginning October 7, 2026.

Important Dates  

Commencement of online application: 7 October 2026  

Last Date of Application: 28 October 2026 (up to 11:55 PM)  

Objective Test (Tentative Date): 20 November 2026  

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from any recognized University in India with knowledge of computer operation and computer typing speed of 35 words per minute (English).  

Age Limit (as on 1st September 2026):  

Minimum Age: 18 Years  

Maximum Age: 30 Years

(Relaxation in upper age limit will be given to reserved categories as per rules.)  

Selection Process  

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of four stages in total:  

Objective Type Test: Written Test of 100 marks (Qualifying marks – 50).  

Computer Typing Speed ​​Test: Typing test of 50 marks.  

Descriptive Test (Written Test): Essay and Comprehension based test.  

Personal Interview: Interview of 25 marks.  

Salary and allowances  

Pay-Level: Level-6 (Group-B Non-Gazetted)  

Starting Basic Pay: ₹35,400 per month  

Other Allowances: Other Government allowances will be payable as per rules.
