Tata Punch EV Facelift Coming Soon with Up to 593km Range: Launch on February 20, 2026

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the facelifted Tata Punch EV in the Indian market on February 20, 2026. Ahead of its official debut, the updated electric SUV has been spotted multiple times during road testing—this time without any camouflage—revealing several design updates. Adding to the excitement, Tata has also released a teaser video highlighting an impressive claimed driving range of 593.6 km on a single charge.

Tata Punch EV Facelift: Battery and Performance Details

Under the hood, the Punch EV facelift is expected to continue with the existing battery options. These include 25kWh and 35kWh battery packs, paired with a front-mounted electric motor.

  • 25kWh battery: Produces 82hp and 114Nm of torque, with a current ARAI-rated range of 265km

  • 35kWh battery: Delivers 122hp and 190Nm of torque, offering a certified range of 365km

Interestingly, recent test results have sparked speculation that Tata might introduce a larger 45kWh battery pack, similar to the one used in the Nexon EV. If this happens, it could explain the claimed 593km range and position the Punch EV as one of the longest-range electric vehicles in its segment.

Tata Punch EV Facelift: Exterior Design Updates

The facelift brings noticeable changes to the front design. The bumper has been reworked, removing the black trim and connected air intakes seen on the earlier model. The air dam and skid plate also get a fresh look, while signature elements like the Y-shaped LED DRLs and the centrally placed charging flap remain unchanged.

Side Profile and New Colour Options

From the side, the overall silhouette stays familiar. However, Tata is likely to introduce new alloy wheel designs on selected variants. The test vehicle was seen in the Fearless Red dual-tone shade with a black roof. Alongside existing colours, Tata has confirmed new additions such as Brown and Bright Yellow, giving buyers more personalization options.

Rear Styling Inspired by ICE Punch

At the rear, the Punch EV facelift borrows styling cues from the recently updated petrol-powered Punch. Highlights include a full-width LED light bar and a redesigned bumper, ensuring visual consistency between the EV and ICE versions of the Punch.
