Basti News: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Basti district of Uttar Pradesh. Where a private hospital has been accused of defrauding the family of a dead newborn for 22 days. This case reminded me of the movie 'Gabbar', in which something similar was shown - where the hospital collected money from the family after treating a dead person.

What is the full story?

According to the family members, the innocent child was seriously ill and was admitted to a private hospital in the district for treatment. Initially, the treatment was started through Ayushman Bharat card, but later the hospital management stopped the card treatment and started demanding cash payment.

Pretend treatment for 22 days

The family alleges that the hospital kept the child in the ICU even after he died and continued to show false treatment. About 2 lakh rupees were recovered from the family in the name of treatment. When the child's condition did not improve, the family appealed to the doctors several times to refer him to a big hospital, but the doctors did not listen to them. He was only worried about money, not the life of the child.

The parents of the child , who were forced to sell the jewelry and mortgaged the land,

risked everything to save their son's life. When the money ran out, he mortgaged his land. Even the mother had to sell her body jewelry to pay for the treatment. The family says that if the doctor had referred her in time, her child might have been saved. But doctors and hospital administration were only concerned about money.

What did the administration say?

When the CMO (Chief Medical Officer) Rajiv Nigam was spoken to about this whole matter, he said that if a complaint is received in this regard, an investigation team will be formed and strict action will be taken.

- Is there no monitoring system in the hospital which can prevent such cases in time?

- If the child was dead, why was the treatment continued?

- After starting the treatment under Ayushman Yojana, why did they stop it in the middle and take cash?
