US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said on Wednesday that the Iranian commander who attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump in 2024 has been captured and killed in Operation Epic Fury against the Middle East country.
“Yesterday, the leader of the unit that attempted to assassinate President Trump was found and killed.”
"Iran tried to kill President Trump, and in the end, President Trump won," Hegseth said at a press conference, though he did not identify the man.
'We will have control over Iranian skies within a week': US
Speaking at the conference, Hegseth also said that the world's two most powerful air forces would have complete control over Iranian skies within a week. "The US will use an unlimited stockpile of precision gravity bombs," Hegseth added. "We're attacking them while they're down," he added.
